【明報文章】Saudi Arabia is an ambitious Middle East country seeking balance in the regional affairs between major actors such as the U.S., China, Iran, Israel and Turkey. The country's geography nearly entirely coincides with the Arabian peninsula, which along with the Anatolian Peninsula and Iranian Plateau create three distinct areas or geopolitical forces vying for influence in the Middle East. In between is the geographic arc which stretches from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean and consists of Iraq-Syria and what historically was called Palestine. It is here where Saudi Arabia tries to leverage its strategic interests.
