【明報文章】During the recent G20 summit the EU, US, India and the Gulf countries agreed to build a new trade corridor (IMEC) from South Asia to the Mediterranean and continental Europe. The project is centered around constructing a railway line and improving port infrastructure, starting from India, stretching to the Gulf, and finally to the Mediterranean. The involved nations hope to enhance cargo transportation capacity and connectivity. This joint venture is a transcontinental effort where the participating nations expect to have more jobs, reduction of transportation time, and greater transit potential.
