【明報專訊】A monument rehabilitation project is to begin towards the end of 2011. It is targeted at the Central Police Station Compound (中區警署建築群), which includes Victoria Prison (域多利監獄). Built in 1841, Victoria Prison was the first western building constructed of durable materials in Hong Kong. It is also the oldest prison in the territory. It is located in Central, while other jails are scattered around the city.
