【明報專訊】The Hong Kong Professional Teachers' Union (HKPTU), a 48-year-old organisation, announced its dissolution yesterday (August 10). Fung Wai-wah, president of the HKPTU, said that the changes in the political environment in recent years had put the HKPTU under enormous pressure. But the HKPTU had not been able to find a way to solve the crisis, which had left it with no choice but to dissolve itself, Fung said.
