Mona's Musings : Bean sprouts, hikers, and Mother's Day

【明報專訊】Recently, my mother's mini pot-plant-garden welcomed mint, basil, salad lettuce, and bean sprouts — none of which constitutes her natural Chinese diet. In her eyes, these lovely greens are no more than bonsai (盆景) — delicate, meditative, but useless. Still, she cares for them as a diligent farmer should, as if she is running for the Champion Food Supplier Award of the Year.
