【明報專訊】In a recent mass layoff at i-Cable, the private media company fired 40 from the newsroom with immediate effect, including the entire News Lancet (《新聞刺針》) team that produced solid investigative reports, exposing deep-seated social issues that affected the well-being of the public. Subsequently, the media's award-winning China news team, and the heads of international, local and financial news also resigned in protest of the short-noticed and under-explained decision.
