【明報專訊】IT'S THE FIRST day of class after a long summer break and the young lambs are eager to learn. Their teacher, Mrs Ewe, starts by telling them a fable. She said, "This fable was by the great Russian writer, Ivan Krylov, back in the nineteenth century. In those days, anyone who dared criticise the Tsar or the government was in danger of being thrown into prison or worse. Nonetheless, Krylov managed to write hundreds of fables over thirty years and became a great favourite of the Russian people. Now listen to his fable, "Perfect Law":
