【明報專訊】《南華早報》較早前刊登了一篇專欄文章，題為Better safe than sorry: that's the thinking behind the irrational behaviour of hoarding in Hong Kong amid coronavirus outbreak，筆者姑且把它譯作：「有備無患——冠狀病毒爆發下港人失智囤積行為背後的心態」。文章揶揄部分港人在搶購廁紙等日用品時的瘋狂行徑，當中特別提到他們一向以來的貪婪購物心態：We all like a bargain but Hongkongers are particularly gung-ho about getting their money's worth.
