【明報專訊】The introduction of technology was, to a large extent, a war waged against the finite property of time. Technology seems to have dramatically liberated human beings from time-consuming chores, thereby enhancing both productivity and the quality of life. Ever since the washing machine and vacuum cleaner took over basic domestic hygiene, hours of labour have been saved daily and put to use otherwise. Such is a great leap towards a more fulfilled and meaningful life, so we were led to believe.
