【明報專訊】For over twenty years, the world has embraced Pedro Almodóvar (picture)'s eccentricity with little intention to probe into the mastermind behind the masterpieces. Or rather, Almodóvar was rather good at maintaining that delicate distance between his works and the crude mechanism that has created them. This was true until the release of Pain and Glory (in cinema from 26 September, 2019), Almodóvar's latest film, which is highly regarded as an autobiography despite the director's constant claim that it is largely fictional.
