Idiom Magic : A CHOWHOUND 貪吃的人
文章日期:2018年10月8日

【明報專訊】My dictionary says that the word chow comes from a Chinese word meaning a meat dumpling(肉餃子). That's very interesting because in English chow(食物)is a colloquial word which means food of any kind — and that's exactly what pleases a chowhound because this modern term describes someone who loves food. "I'd like a bowl or noodles and a great big hamburger," Wilbur grinned. "I'm an incurable(不可救藥的)chowhound!"
