She did not come up with a new political discourse on cross-strait relations, but instead reiterated her stance that "the good intention remains unchanged, we are still committed to our promises, we are not going down the old road of confrontation, but we will not bow to pressure either". She called on both sides of the strait to seek "a new mode of interaction".
