【明報專訊】THIS year's Nobel Prize in physics has been awarded to three American astrophysicists for their observation of gravitational waves, to which a Hong Kong expert also made a contribution by analysing gravitational wave data. While he is in the trio's reflected glory, Hong Kong's universities, ironically, will no longer offer astronomy as a major choice starting from the 2018/19 academic year because of the lack of students.
