【明報專訊】AS many newly-appointed Under Secretaries and Political Assistants of the incumbent government have assumed their positions, Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive, has reiterated that government officials are appointed "on merit", and that she does not understand why some people should make such a fuss about the appointment of Christine Choi and call it "a war declared on the education sector". Lam also mentioned that she had indeed invited all political parties to recommend capable people to the government, but the pan-democrats did not respond.
