Editorial﹕Pan-democrats shoudn't refuse to join government

【明報專訊】THE GOVERNMENT has unveiled the list of the first batch of people made undersecretaries or political assistants. Of the eighteen on the list, some belonged to the civil service, while others are political assistant-turned undersecretaries. Among them are professionals as well as young startups belonging to pro-establishment parties. The list can hardly be called dazzling, and the appointment of Christine Choi (who was vice president of the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers) as undersecretary for education has aroused much controversy, making it an even more trying task to heal political divisions.
