【明報專訊】THE GOVERNMENT has proposed to partner social enterprises (SEs) to operate a "government-run subdivision" scheme. That has had wide repercussions. Secretary for Transportation and Housing Frank Chan has disclosed the authorities are having talks with charities and real estate investment companies about subdividing old flats into cubicles and rent them at cost to people on the PRH (public rental housing) waiting list. Such a tenancy would run two to three years, and certain "professionals" have already provided the government with various subdivision plans for its reference.
