【明報專訊】TODAY (July 3), President Xi Jinping (who has just wrapped up his Hong Kong visit) is to go to Russia and Germany on state visits. He is to attend a G20 summit in Hamburg. This is the last major foreign trip Xi is to make in the run-up to shijiuda (the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China). This year Sino-Russian relations have been faced with a new situation, as have Sino-German relations. Nevertheless, the central part of the trip is the meeting Xi is to have with US President Donald Trump during the summit.
