【明報專訊】East or west, home is best? The inconvenient truth is that every family has a skeleton in its cupboard. Shuzo (Isao Hashizume) and his wife Tomiko (Kazuko Yoshiyuki) was on the verge of divorce in their 80s. After avoiding a late-life separation, there are still loads of troubles awaiting the family. Shuzo likes driving but his car starts to have more dents than ever before. His son worries that Shuzo is too old to drive safely. As a stubborn old man, Shuzo refuses to return his driving licence. Who is going to do the lobbying? The siblings? In fact, they are just getting each other to do it. No one wants to do that alone, so they make a plan. An unsuccessful one.
