【明報專訊】THE HONG KONG SECTION of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL) is expected to come into operation in the third quarter of next year, but it remains uncertain whether "co-location arrangements" will be implemented. Recently, during the "two sessions" in Beijing, some individuals on the mainland involved in the issue answered questions from reporters and thus brought to light some situations and signals, drawing attention again to the matter. In order to maximise the efficiency of the XRL project, it is necessary to implement "co-location arrangements". As consultation and legislation take time, the government should put forward a proposal as soon as possible for the public to debate and ask for public support so that "co-location arrangements" will be in place when the railway comes into use.
