【明報專訊】Yesterday, Let it be, A Day in the Life are songs that have inspired many. An all-time popular band, The Beatles exerted an impact that was cultural rather than just musical. The legendary rock group was formed in Liverpool, England, in 1960. The band consisted of four members: John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison (who were the founding members) and Ringo Starr (who joined two years after its formation). Directed by Academy Award-winner Ron Howard, The Beatles: Eight Days A Week — The Touring Years (《The Beatles: Eight Days A Week ─ 走過披頭歲月》) is a documentary about the band's phenomenal early career in the period between 1962 and 1966, in which they toured and became popular around the world.
