【明報專訊】DESPITE repeated explanations given by government officials and Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying, the controversy over the Wang Chau public housing plan has not been put to rest. Quite the contrary, the passive, piecemeal manner in which such explanations were made has raised even more doubts. Leung says that the government is sorting out information related to the matter and will convene a press conference to explain what has happened in a few days. This is the appropriate thing to do. The government must give a full and credible account of the matter. If the government continues to prevaricate, it will have even greater difficulty handling the ongoing public relations disaster.
