【明報專訊】THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL (LEGCO) ELECTION Hong Kong has just seen will prove more important than any other held after the handover not only because the turnout at it is the highest ever (about 58%) and more voters (around 2,220,000) cast their vote at it than at any other. The chief reason is that its outcome has changed Hong Kong's political map. Politicians with a localist and self-determinationist background have rapidly risen and become a political force other than the pro-establishment camp and the pan-democratic camp.
