【明報專訊】It takes time to familiarise ourselves with other cultures. "I had seen photos of bamboo scaffolding in the encyclopaedia, the Million, when I was small and it was hard to believe that this old method was still in use in the 80s. I was astonished to see construction workers clambering on poles and erecting scaffolding without any safety belt," said the author and illustrator of Gweimui Hong Kong Story (《鬼妹港故事》) Christine Cappio (張雪婷). Born in Lyon, France (法國里昂), Cappio has stayed in Hong Kong since she came here in 1986.
