【明報專訊】DE NOVO, a redevelopment project handled by the Urban Renewal Authority (URA), will go on sale in the form of subsidised housing. However, in a departure from the Housing Authority's and Housing Society's principle of providing subsidised housing for families in need, the URA has decided to allow single people whose monthly income is lower than $60,000 to apply for the flats, and will treat them in the same way as families of two people or more. To enable informed public discussion of the matter, the URA should explain clearly the basis for its new decision on applicants' salary upper limit.
