【明報專訊】Last time, I wrote about hat fashion, especially the origin of wearing a fedora hat. I also talked about Christys London, a special hatmaker that started to make hats for the royalty and the military in the 1770s. Today, Christys' fedora hats - worn by both men and women - are high fashion items that appear on the catwalk and are sold in top retailers in more than forty countries. Besides making formal fedoras, Christys also helps popularise summer hats made of high-quality bleached straw. Summer fedora hats are in light colours such as beige, ivory and white, and they usually come with a cloth or leather band around the brim.
