【明報專訊】Fangled (pronounced FAN-guld) is an old word meaning "to take" or "to seize (把握)". That's pretty much what happens when something new appears on the market and people feel they must have it. Think, for example, of the recent electronic devices that excite us. Adding new, we have newfangled (or new-fangled), meaning a device or style that is new. "I'm having great fun getting used to this newfangled broom," Agatha exclaimed.
