【明報專訊】If life were a three-course meal, the appetizer would always surprise, and the dessert would always delight. The main course, not much to my liking, can prove tedious (乏味的) at times as they usually come in a large portion that one struggles to finish. That is perhaps why, after a certain age, I have stopped keeping track of my own birthdays, if not dreading (害怕) the annual reminder of me ageing. If you have watched the movie Inside Out lately, my attitude towards birthdays closely resembles that of the character Sadness, which can at best be described as dark humour if not pathetic. Not very encouraging, I know.
