【明報專訊】The adjective nth describes a huge amount or an unspecified large number. In this expression nth means to an extent (程度) or to a degree so great that it cannot be measured. Here is an example of something we would find difficult to measure (量度): "Sally said that her job bores her to the nth degree." And here is an example of something too great to be measured: "I'm trying to the nth degree to stay cool today!" Teddy said.
