【明報專訊】THE HOUSING PROBLEM has long been troubling Hongkongers. Last Thursday, the Economic and Wellbeing Project of Shue Yan University published the findings of a questionnaire survey it had conducted about Hongkongers' hardships. For two consecutive years respondents have thought housing is the most painful of six issues that affect people's lives. During the survey, people were asked how they thought the housing problem should be solved, and 85% of the respondents believed the percentage of residential land in Hong Kong should be raised so that there would be more land for housing.
