【明報專訊】THE POLICE have cleared some occupied locations. According to what the government and the Hong Kong Federation of Students have openly said, they will dialogue tomorrow (Tuesday). Last Thursday Leung Chun-ying told the media that the Federation was not "pragmatic" in insisting that popular nomination should be allowed and that the National People's Congress Standing Committee should retract its decision. Thereupon the Federation denounced the government as "overbearing and irrational". Evidently, even if the dialogue begins smoothly, it may have ups and downs. However, the occupation having come to where it is, the general situation is such that Hong Kong will have to embark on another long journey. It is necessary to consider how society can rebuild trust.
