【明報專訊】I do not pretend to have a neutral stance on the Umbrella Movement. Civil disobedience (公民抗命) is but a predictable move for democracy when our government has repeatedly forced its agenda despite clear opposition from the people. Take the promotion of national education, licensing for HKTV, the North East New Territories Development Project and the current battle for political reform. Without democracy, people cannot hold the government accountable for failing to ensure what I think are the basic grounds for decent living. I am proud of what my city stood up for.
