The City Wanderer﹕Look in the nooks and crannies (2)
文章日期:2014年10月6日

【明報專訊】In last week's column, I promised to share my favourite nooks and crannies in the city with you. I will do so by introducing the Hong Kong People's Fringe Festival, an art festival that excites me most of late. Taken after the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Hong Kong edition puts together an unconventional programme at the most unthinkable venues. To name a few, you can enjoy a photography exhibition at Redwood Udon, check out a live music show on the roof top of Horizon Art Space or dance to some cool grooves at factory spaces. The festival also features some art forms otherwise unfamiliar to the public. Theater group The Tumbling Wei presents a mixture of theatre, xiqu (戲曲) and drama which makes a fantastic family pastime if you have hardcore xiqu fans at home (like my mom!).
