【明報專訊】HONG KONG'S rail network, which is operated by the MTR Corporation, has long been the mainstay of the city's public transport system. It is generally believed that the new rail networks envisaged in the Railway Development Strategy 2014 (the New Strategy), which was published by the government yesterday, will also be constructed and operated by the MTR, and this will only strengthen the MTR's monopoly in the city's transport system.
