【明報專訊】THE GOVERNMENT has released a consultation paper entitled Extension of the Service of Civil Servants, in which it proposes that a higher retirement age be adopted for civil grade and disciplined service new recruits. There will be no hard and fast rules about current civil servants. A current civil servant about to reach retirement age may apply for extension, and it is up to his department head to decide whether to grant it in the light of actual circumstances.
