【明報專訊】IT hinges very much on the Central People's Government's (CPG's) policy towards Hong Kong whether its Chief Executive (CE) will be elected by universal suffrage in 2017. Not long ago, the CPG set up a National Association of Study on Hong Kong and Macau (NASHKM) amid much fanfare. It has by doing so brought together dozens of bodies engaged in Hong Kong and Macau studies in various departments on the mainland. Comprising hundreds of mainland academics and tens of Hong Kong academics, the NASHKM will advise the CPG in connection with its policy towards Hong Kong.
