【明報專訊】The hiding place of the Franks was above the old warehouse, in a house connected to the front house. It could not be seen from the street. A small corridor led to a movable bookcase. Behind the bookcase was what was called the secret annex (後宅). Their new home had three bedrooms, a bathroom, and an attic (閣樓) where their food was stored. From the attic window you could see a large chestnut tree.
