Idiom Magic﹕冷酷無情 Have/ with ice in one's veins
文章日期:2013年9月9日

【明報專訊】"Have you ever had one of those days when everyone you met seemed to have ice in his or her veins?" Mrs M gasped. "I sure have," her friend replied. "Every hour, almost every day!" What Mrs M and her friend are talking about and what this expression means are probably two different things. What I am thinking about is the meaning of this expression, for someone with ice in his/her veins is cold and unemotional (缺乏感情的). Essentially, he or she is - or seems to be - totally lacking (缺乏) in passion.
