【明報專訊】THE PRIVACY COMMISSIONER has lashed out at a company for collecting people's personal data in the name of free medical checkups, and then selling the data to an insurance company for direct marketing purposes. As many as 360,000 people's personal data have been obtained in this way. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) has published the name of the company engaged in this devious practice of data collection: the Hong Kong Preventive Association.
