【明報專訊】SPEAKING AT the closing meeting of the first session of the 12th National People's Congress, China's newly installed President Xi Jinping yesterday referred more than once to the "Chinese dream", pointing out that "the Chinese dream, after all, is the dream of the people. We must realise it by closely depending on the people". What Xi said is of great significance to Hong Kong as well, since Hong Kong is part of China and the absolute majority of Hong Kong people love their country. We look forward to the realisation not only of the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation, but also of the Hong Kong dream of democracy. We hope the central government will realise this Hong Kong dream by closely depending on the people.
