【明報專訊】WITH severe typhoon Vicente intensifying and launching a "sudden attack" on Hong Kong, the Observatory hoisted the No 10 typhoon signal for the first time in 13 years, which meant that Hong Kong was to battle one of the worst storms in its history. After the storm blew over, Hong Kong quickly and methodically returned to normal. It can be seen from this that, though there must still be room for improvement, Hong Kong's physical infrastructure and soft power are strong enough to withstand severe trials. Our society's maturity is a cause for pride.
