【明報專訊】WHEN Chief Executive-elect Leung Chun-ying was in Beijing to receive his certificate of appointment, both President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao met with him, telling him respectively to "unite and lead the various social sectors" and "foster closer exchanges with different sectors and eliminate divergence and conflicts". The central government's call for a reintegration of the establishmentarian camp through reconciliation and unity may help improve the situation to a certain extent, but the fundamental differences between Leung and those against him within the establishmentarian camp are such that not much can be expected. Their differences may be explored in the following three directions.
