【明報專訊】THE Chief Executive election is over and finished. Legislative Councillor Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung, supporter of Henry Tang Ying-yen and Convener of the Business and Professional Alliance, said the business sector must rally, get more united, and actively participate in geographical direct elections. As a matter of fact, with all Legislative Councillors to be elected by universal suffrage in 2020, functional constituencies are doomed. To maintain its political influence, the business sector cannot always depend on its good relations with Beijing and the Hong Kong SAR government, but must take part in direct elections and win popular recognition.
