【明報專訊】Wei Te-sheng has made himself a famous brand in the movie industry with the success of Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale (《賽德克．巴萊》). The 2-part war epic is setting similar records to those of Cape No 7, his debut released 3 years ago. According to Taipei Times, the first installment (Seediq Bale 1) of the production raked in Taiwan's highest opening record for a 2D movie - over US$790,000. Both Cape No 7 and the Warriors series were honoured at Taiwan's prestigious Golden Horse Awards and the latter is going to compete for the best foreign language film title at the Oscars next year.
