樓價剛回調政府托市? 官員說法曖昧信息不清

【明報專訊】YESTERDAY Bloomberg quoted Financial Secretary John Tsang as saying the government would ease its property-cooling measures in certain circumstances. Secretary for Transport and Housing Eva Cheng said soon afterwards it would loosen property curbs at the right time and might review the special stamp duty (SSD) earlier than scheduled. Property prices have just begun to drop and are just less than 5% below their peak level, but market participants take what the two officials have said to mean the government is about to alter its policy. However, a government spokesman has elaborated on what John Tsang said with the purpose of lowering their expectations. The officials have given out confusing messages.
