【明報專訊】THE BROADCASTING AUTHORITY (BA) has completed its investigation into ATV's misreporting of former President Jiang Zemin's death. It has concluded that the station did not meet applicable requirements of the BA Generic Code of Practice on Television Programme Standards. It has fined ATV $300,000. Though it is highest ever in similar cases, the fine is disproportionate to the gravity of the incident.
