民主派落場比賽 特首選舉才有意義

【明報專訊】THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY, Democratic Party chairman Albert Ho said he was minded to stand for Chief Executive (CE), and Frederick Fung, of the Hong Kong Association for Democracy and People's Livelihood, said he would announce next month after the District Council (DC) election his intention to join the CE race. Though the Civic Party has said it will field no CE candidate because it wants to pool its resources to fight the DC and Legislative Council elections, establishmentarian CE aspirants will face challenges because Albert Ho and Frederick Fung are willing to run. In 2007, an establishmentarian (Donald Tsang) and a democrat (Alan Leong) were pitted against each other. Hong Kong may see a similar scene.
