【明報專訊】The next Chief Executive (CE) race will soon be under way. On September 20, Leung Chun-ying (梁振英.) tendered his resignation as Executive Council convenor (行政會議召集人) verbally. A spokesman for the Chief Executive's Office said his resignation had in principle been accepted. Another "likely" candidate, Chief Secretary for Administration Henry Tang Ying-yen (政務司長唐英年), met the press on September 24. He said he had to think hard about resigning his job because he discharged onerous responsibilities and had to make sure the government would operate normally, but he did not say if he would join the race.
