Idiom-Magic﹕羞愧垂頭 hang one's head
文章日期:2011年8月3日

【明報專訊】When a person hangs his or her head it is because he or she is feeling guilty (內疚), embarrassed (尷尬) or ashamed (羞愧) about something. I'll give you an example: Chadwick has been feeling terribly guilty about breaking a vase. As a result, he has been hanging his head all day. "I am hanging my head in shame," Chadwick said. "I wish I could stop breaking things!" "You don't have to hang your head," I said. "I didn't like that ugly old thing anyway!"
