【明報專訊】SOME time ago the Ombudsman criticised the Buildings Department (BD) for not taking law-enforcement action vigorously and winking at unauthorised building works (UBW) in New Territories exempted houses (NTEHs). New Territories (NT) people have subsequently revealed they have had secret negotiations with the government for legalising such UBW. Over the past few days, NT people have openly demanded that UBW in NTEHs be legalised. They have done so with great assurance as if justice were on their side.
