【明報專訊】It is said that the idea of seating people at a round table originated with King Arthur (亞瑟王), who wanted no quarrels among his knights (武士). At a circular table, none of them would appear more important than the other. Today, a round table conference is a meeting in which the individuals present have a frank (坦率的) and open discussion (討論) of issues of importance to all participants (參加者).
